Aperture tester
MeasurementTry method
The instrument continuously applies pressure to the high-pressure side of the sample. When the gas on one side of the sample passes through the sample and reaches the immersion liquid on the other side to generate bubbles, the large pore size of the sample zui is calculated by this method.
Bubble point pressure
The value of the high side pressure when the gas passes through the sample to the immersion liquid to produce the first series of continuous bubbles.
Larger Aperture Test
For general filter materials, the role of a larger pore size is obvious, because the size of a larger pore size directly affects the filtering effect, which is equivalent to a short board of a cylinder. The shorter the short board, even if the other boards are longer, the cylinder The amount of water is still determined by the short board. The instrument for testing larger aperture is mainly the bubble point meter, which can be tested by PMA series or FIA30 series bubble point meter, which is more popular on the market.
aperture analysis test
PSDA pore size analyzer based on gas-liquid discharge method is more suitable for measuring 80 nm to 300 micron pores; PSDA pore size analyzer based on liquid-liquid discharge method is more suitable for measuring 5 nm to 200 micron pores. One concern is the measurement pressure of the sample. Regardless of the measurement method, increasing the measurement pressure of the sample can detect smaller pore sizes. However, too much pressure will bring a series of problems. First of all, some hollow fiber and tubular organic membrane samples cannot withstand too high pressure at all, generally not more than 5kg. Secondly, high pressure measurement may also bring difficulties to the sealing of samples, because samples often need to be squeezed vigorously to seal well. Thirdly, most organic membrane samples may deform or even be closed under high pressure, thus making the measurement results meaningless. Therefore, the liquid-liquid discharge method is recommended for small aperture samples, while the gas-liquid discharge method can only be used for large aperture samples.
